Introducing Our Creators-in-Residence

We are thrilled to introduce the two newest members of the genEquality team, Adom M. Cooper and Amanda Lee Keammerer. As Creators-in-Residence, Adom and Amanda will each be working on a book project revolving around education, technology, equality, and inclusion. Learn more about Adom and Amanda below!

Adom M. Cooper

As a genEquality Creator-in-Residence, Adom will be working on a forthcoming book focused on STEM education, with a diversity and inclusion lens.

Adom is an Operations Planning Specialist at the U.S. Department of State. He has work experience with the U.S. government, the United Nations, the American Society of International Law (ASIL), and private consulting firms. He holds a JD from Syracuse University College of Law, a BA in Political Science and Communications from the University of Michigan, and studied abroad in South Africa at the University of the Western Cape. He has published with Just Security, NY Daily News, USA Today, the United Nations Population Fund, ASIL, and the International Law Association. Adom is a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project, a Term Member at Council on Foreign Relations, a 2021-2022 Democracy Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy, and a member of the DC Bar.

Amanda Lee Keammerer

As a genEquality Creator-in-Residence, Amanda will be working on her forthcoming bilingual children's book series on cybersecurity.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Amanda is the founder and CEO of Javilud, a consulting firm leading at the intersection of people, politics, tech, and art through programs and services. She is also the Managing Director of gener8tor Cybersecurity.  Previously, Amanda was the Vice President of Cybersecurity and director of the CyberSecurity San Antonio program at the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Before returning to Texas, Amanda worked in the Obama administration for the Federal CIO and first Federal CISO at the White House. She is the founder of National Cyber Signing Day and serves as a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project. Amanda earned her MA in Global Communication with a double concentration in national security policy and IT policy from George Washington University, and her BA in Russian and Government from Smith College.
