Adjectives matter for the little ones, too!

Language is actually one of the most influential elements of a child’s development. The way we (adults) describe them, encourage them, and talk to them is influential to their identity.

Adjectives and words commonly used for baby girls: little, precious, angel, doll, princess. Adjectives and words commonly used for baby boys: big, brave, champion, hero, handsome.

We can do better than this. This is on us adults; we can and should stop using adjectives that reinforce gender inequality. These onesies are a helpful reminder and nudge!
